Here’s a little insight into Sue and her work:
Tell us about your business and the services you provide
I am an Integrative Counsellor, working with several models to provide a bespoke service to my clients.
What inspired you to become a qualified counsellor?
I became a counsellor to enable people to achieve their potential by recognising what is holding them back.
What advice would you give to someone considering counselling for the first time but feeling unsure?
Be brave and take that leap. It is a difficult decision, looking at the unknown, but with the right therapist, it will be the right decision.
Looking back on your counselling journey so far, what achievement has made you the proudest?
Every client that manages to move forward with their life makes me very proud. Clients who return to see me when they reach difficult milestones in their life also make me tremendously proud!
What are some small, everyday habits people can adopt to support their emotional well-being?
Always try to find a positive from a negative—a glass half full, not half empty. Wherever possible, cancel out the word should.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Thurrock Network Group?
The Thurrock Network Group is a massive support for all who are part of it. Everyone brings different skills and knowledge, making it a great space to share business expertise. It’s also a place where you can truly be yourself without fear of judgment.
Can you share your top networking tip for small business owners?
For me, networking is about being honest and consistent. Other people don’t get to know you and your business straight away—it takes time.
