Today was the launch of the Thurrock Network Group. It was an exciting and scary experience but great fun too!
We had over 60 people attend the event which was more than I was expecting. We were lucky enough to have two rooms where everyone could network.
Setting up Thurrock Network Group
There wasn’t a networking group in Grays, so with a business colleague, we decided to set up our own networking group. We found a local venue and started to get to work on organising our first event. Not long after and the Thurrock Network Group was launched!
Business Networking
Setting up your own business is very rewarding but can be tough too. One piece of advice I was given was to get my name and business out in the local area by networking.
I attended a number of events as I could to meet other business owners. It takes time to build up business relationships and I soon started seeing business owners regularly at meetings.
Thurrock Network Group Meetings
The meetings will be on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Business owners will be able to network over tea, coffee and pastries. It is a great opportunity to meet with other local businesses to discuss ideas and issues.
The Thurrock Network Group meet at The Learning Shop in Grays and doors open at 8.00am.
